Q: Height decrease ?

Mad Hi, this is Jacky Huynh. I've been wanting to decrease my height for a year now due to kids picking on me, saying "You're a waste of space" to me. I have a teacher that said to me "The more taller you are, the more harder you fall". I have bad balance, so I fall down a lot. I have balance because I was born with one shoulder slightly higher than the other. Shrinking 3 inches isn't very noticeable, my bro says. Is there a way to decrease my height by 3 inches? If not, what age do people usually start shrinking? I'm 16 and I've stayed the same height since my 14th birthday. I heard from some websites that I can shrink as soon as I finish growing. I doubt I'd do anymore growing.

Hi Jacky Huynh,

Please don't "shrink" to the level of a few bias, silly, narrow minded people who is truly "wasting space" that could be utilized by more productive people such as yourself. One does stop growing after a certain period of time and the life cycle seems to do a reversed role but not until you are in your 80's or older. Jack, listen carefully. You are a wonderfully gifted human being who has a purpose in this life, don't allow some poor example of a teacher or a bunch of immature imperfect kids who find picking on you entertaining....NONE of us are perfect especially that teacher and those kids.

Please go to your principal and or guidance counselor and tell them how much the "bullying" hurt you. Do it now, don't wait another day. The bullying will not stop it will only get worse, your self-esteem will dip and you will find yourself getting depressed and missing out on life. You didn't ask to be the way you are, none of us did but you have a right to live your life as a postive, productive human being and NO ONE has a right to walk on you with their mean words. You don't need to lower your height or standards Jack, others need to come up to yours. Even if you did or could shrink that would not stop the bullying, the only way to stop that is to stand up to them, if you can't then do as I mentioned above, get the principal and other staff members involved. Stand tall and embrace your life, we all have problems, it is how we handle them is what makes a difference in our lives.

God Bless you dear

Please take the advice of Faded Rose. I would have told you the same thing. There's nothing wrong with a man being tall. By the way, most women prefer taller men than shorter ones. The bullies are only jealous of you.
