Ten years ago, when I was in college, there were two or three times when I had an especially heavy and long period. I would use the super plus tampons which would completely fill up in 1-2 hours. Also, the entire period lasted at least 7 days and was even up to nearly two weeks. I went to student health and received a medication to stop my period flow. I have a friend who is now going through something similar. I couldn't remember the name of the medication I took to stop my period. I was wondering if you could help me with some names of medications to do this so that she can ask her doctor if any of them will be good with someone of her medical history. Thank you.
