Q: heavy menstration after breast feeding

this is the 1st menstraul cycle I have had since I had my son 10.5 months ago. i have been breastfeeding him. is it normal after going so long with out having a cycle for so long for the 1st one to be really heavy? it is almost like the bleeding you have right after having the baby especially if you don't breast feed!!

Congratulation for your son
It is normal as the uterus haven't evacuate the blood for a long period and take care of your feeding practices so as not to get anemia
