I have been experiencing heavy brown discharge and cramping the last couple of days, especially after intercourse. There is noticible "pink" blood when I wipe as well. I finished my period last week though I was two weeks early, but it seemed like a normal length cycle. I have been on the pill for a couple of years now, though recently came off when I underwent an unrelated surgery. Could coming off the pill resulting in different hormonal levels be causing this? I had my annual pap and other tests a couple months ago, which all came back okay. I had an inflamed cervix and vaginal wall so I was treated with two rounds of antibiotics to treat bacterial vaginitis. When completed, the symptoms went away and I began experiencing normal discharge. I cannot be pregnant, so what explains this brown discharge?
