hello

after having sex for the first time, my bleeding volume during periods has increased as compared to prior times. I am also facing immense weakness problem and my haemoglobin count is 9.67. I would like to know if this is normal and if not what are the precautions i can take to curb this. I would also wnat to know what is the amount of bleeding during periods which can be called normal.
Thank you,
Anchita

Anchita, how old are you? A hemoglobin of 9.67 is low and does put you as an anemic. I assume you went to the doctor? Were you put on an iron supplement? It is not normal to have your hemoglobin drop that low from menstruation. Your gynecologist needs to investigate. You need to eat iron enriched foods to also help. Red meat, green vegetables, kidney beans, and whole grains to name a few.
