Yep, sounds familiar.
I have had this allergy since I was about 8 years old. I'm in my 40s now. It has gotten better with age, but still strikes my feet or hands sometimes. I have found doctors generally unhelpful. I just take an antihistimine when I know I"m going into a situation where it might strike.

Many people have the problem of heat allergy. There are number of anti-allergy pills and injections are available in the market, but sometimes that anti-allergy pills and injections can also show the side effects on your body. So, you will need to discuss with your doctor and also try to maintain a balanced diet.

heat allergy
i have had an allergy to heat my entire life 22yrs old now. it started when i was about 3 or 4 days old. if i am outside on a hot day i itch so bad i end up bleeding along with little red spots with white heads. they are not pimples and dissapear after about an hour in an aircondition room. also i cant sweat like normal people just along my hairline i sweat. but no were else really. i can not be around steam, hot water, hot air, or out in the heat. if i am i break out and my skin turns as read as a lobster i start getting really dizzy and sick. I even start seeing black spots if i am out too long in any heat. if i get to that point i have to stand under cool water until i am better. it is pretty bad and i can't get a docter to take me serious because over the years i have gained weight because anytime i start working out i get too hot and end up passing out from the heat.

btw does anyone know what you could do about the allergy that actually works with very few side effects

You may want to look up information about the NAET method and see if you can find a doctor who uses this method near you. It's natural and noninvasive. Go to naet.com

cholinergic urticaria
Hi All, 10 years ago I developed out of the blue an allergy to heat sensitivity. If was warm i would start to get painful hives. It was also connect to my nervous system. If i got nervous about anything, the painful hives came back. I went to 6 different doctors. Found one that cured it for me. He said I had "cholinergic urticaria" a rare allergy to heat. he prescribed prozac, klonapin, and doxaphine... in a 2 weeks it went away. I was on the medication for a month. Now its been over 10 years and has not come back at all.

Good Luck All,

Heat Allergy, Itchy skin
It's called atopic dermatitis, it means that your skin is very dry, I have this since I was like 14,this allergy(feels like all skin is being stung) came from nowhere. I'm from Lithuania - Europe, this summer I went to U.S. Washington D.C. to work as a mover, I never had an allergy there, even though it would get extremely hot. So from what I noticed, it's not the heat itself, it's the change of heat from cold to hot, so if you can avoid that u'll be cool. If you exercise, one thing that really helps is put on a wet t-shirt - keeps your body cool. So from what I read I think climate change has something to do with this allergy too, if you live in country where it gets cold, try to visit some warmer countries or more humid countries and see what happens ( just an idea if you like to travel).

Hi everyone,
I had that problem - some horrific, maddening itching and skin-splitting burning feelings every time i get hot, no matter how. I am writing this, because I've found a remedy, and I know the feeling to have such a problem and no good cure to be available. Because - let's face it - it definitely sucks to organize your life around heat avoidance. That's not a normal living.
The thing that helped me is called Allergosan. I'm from a Balkan country, named Bulgaria, and that medicine is a local invention from the socialistic past of the country. A few tiny pills of that really cheap med helped me get rid of the problem for good (hopefully). If not - I can get it from every med store around. I dont know if you can get it where you live, so if you can't, here is the working part of it - chlor-pyramine hydrocloride. Search for a medicine with that ingredient and you'll be fine. I am writing this only because I'm so grateful for curing this, so I'm sharing the knowledge. Good luck in finding something working. You may also want to know, that problem comes from inside the body, according to the tons of things I've read and anything really working should be put in the body. Good luck to everyone with that thing!

yes, I am also facing the same problem like your grandmother. When I go outside, if it is hot enough, it starts itching automatically! The skin becomes red and rash appears immediately.
