Hello,

I went for my first ultrasound a few days ago, and I was 6 weeks, 1 day.

She told me the heart rate was 54 beats per minutes and it was normal. So naturally, I wasn't worried, but I have been reading other posts and noticed that most people are reporting over 100 beats...

Now I am worried, should I be???

Thank you in advance.

The embryonic heart rate generally should not fall below 100 bpm. Whoever told you 54 is normal is very wrong.
Please try not to worry yourself too much, but you may want to ask your doctor when you follow up with them, unless the doctor is the one who told you 54bpm is normal. In that case you need to find a new doctor.
