I am a 27 year old male, suffering form daily heart palpitations (PVC). And I also have high blood pressure and had it since I was about 19 years of age and doctors don't know why. Recently 2 years ago i was diagnosed with hyperthyroiadism and I am now taking Methimazole to control my thyroid. At first my doctor believed that the heart palpitations were caused by my thyroid condition, but now my thyroid has been controlled for the passed 6 months and my doctor doesn't know why I still have them. I have been to the er numerous times because of the heart palpitations and had numbers of test ran such as; stress test, ekg's, blood test, echocardiogram, and 24hr holter monitor. All my test have came back negative. So, now I am at a point where I don't understand why I am still having these heart palpitations that are leading to panic/anxiety attacks daily such as; shortness of breath, chest pains and fear of dying. I don't know what to do to control the symptoms i'm having and what is casusing them. It's starting to take toll over my life where it keeps me stressed and my blood pressure high. Does anyone else feel this way or have any advice that you can give me. I'd appreciate it alot. Thanks

Generalized Anxiety Disorder... and is my 2nd best friend!
I have been suffering from anxiety my whole life and I have been on medication for it but was taken off some years ago. I have learned how to control the panic and the anxiety about 99 percent of the time.

Do you feel lightheaded at all?
If your getting increased heart palpatations then your probably breathing too heavily.
Take a brown paper sandwhich bag and breath into that. It will not only slow your breathing down but it will ease the heart palpatations. That is PANIC!
Have you considered going on panic attack medications?
There are pills out there for everything now. I prefer to deal with it on my own.
When you feel like your having anxiety think about why you are scared!
What is happening around you? Who is bothering you and What do they want?
If NOTHING is happening than say just that!
NOTHING IS HAPPENING, NO ONE IS BOTHERIN ME AND I AM JUST FINE!
Count to 10 take a few breaths shake it off and try not to worry soo much!
As for anxiety killing you.. I did alot of research and read alot of books and all of them say NO you cannot die from having an anxiety attack. An anxiety attack is a healthy thing!!
Yea I don't really agree with that but it is!
Try doing some relaxing things, go for a short walk. Not too far so you don't get anxious from being too far from home. Carry a cell phone on you so if you feel sick you can call someone. That helps me too, when I feel like im having anxiety I pick up my cell phone and look at the pictures of my family and think ohh that was fun time wasn't it? Or I call someone. A friend, relative, a hot line..
Exercising is healthy, and gets the blood flowing from one end of the body to the next and that is a good thing.

I've had similar symptoms for almost two months, and judging from the number of people on this site with the same syptoms as we do, I can only conclude that it has to be anxiety.

I actually suffer from daily PSVT's as well, and now recently am experiencing anxiety attacks when I feel the arrhythmia. It's very scary. I'm in over my head about what to do about this. My cardiologist says these are normal, even everyday.
