I've been told by a doctor there is a remote chance that I have some kind of heart disease. I don't have insurance at the moment, but I was able to find a local health insurance company that will bear the cost of the tests I need to have done. Also, I have been told by them that I am not considered to have a pre-existing condition because nothing has actually been diagnosed. So, my plan is to sign up for the insurance, get the tests done, and receive any necessary treatment. The premium I will be paying is $122/mo when I sign up. If it's discovered that I have heart disease, will my premium be promptly jacked up... or would I continue paying $122/mo?

Check over your policy very carefully...There could be a pre-existing clause that they have built in so that they are not liable for this problem...Also you may have some sort of a waiting period before you can use it...As far as the premiums, each company is different...

Good luck,
Caroline
