I responded to your other post about pregnancy. If you are only around 9 weeks, like you have stated, there is no way for you to feel your heartbeat down there. Some women, like myself can "see" their pulse on their belly while pregnant. This occurs at around 20-25 weeks pregnant. It is caused by the expansion of veins during pregnancy and the increased blood volume. But ANYONE, pregnant or not, can detect their pulse in their lower belly. But this only occurs in three circumstances. One, if you push hard enough on ANY part of your body, you will feel the sensation of a pulse. This does not mean you are feeling the pulse from the body part you are feeling, instead you are feeling the blood rushing in and out of your fingers. You can test this by using the first and second finger of one of your hands and pressing down on a hard surface such as a counter or desk. The other way that you would feel a pulse in your lower belly is if you are checking your pulse too near the femoral artery. The last circumstance arises if you need to urinate and hold it in as long as possible. This irritates the bladder and can cause a pulsing sensation. Now, there are some vascular conditions that can cause persons to feel their pulse through their bellies, but those conditions are very serious. One such condition is an aortic aneurysm. That is a weakening, dilation, ballooning, dissection, or rupture of the descending aorta, the large artery that supplies your intestines and other internal organs in your belly with blood.
