I'm 16 and I recently had sex with my 15 yr old girlfriend. It was her first time, and my second time taking a girl's virginity. About 3 minutes into it, she blacked out and started convulsing. At first I thought she was having an asthma attack, so I got her inhaler and ran it back and she was completely unresponsive and that's when I realized that she wasn't really conscious. Her whole body was convulsing with her chest, and then she started pounding on her chest in her unconcious state. I instiinctively put quite a bit of pressure on her chest for a couple seconds and about 30 seconds later she woke up and was out of breath, weak, and had little memory of the last 30 minutes.

After, she told me it was a heart attack and that she had one two years ago. I need to know if those were the symptoms of a heart attack, and what to do since we cant tell any family or friends. (Don't second guess that, I just need medical information so that I can get her what she needs without her parents finding out about what happened.)

She did NOT have a heart attack! I cant stress that enough. However, it not being a heart attack doesnt mean its not something serious.

She could possibly have had a vagal response to stimulation in her peri area but this usually only happens when someone is going to the bathroom or standing up to fast. Not as serious but usually secondary to something more serious.

Another thing and this sounds more like what happened... she had a seizure. It could have been caused by overstimulation of her senses but in her saying she has had it happen before, I would hazard a guess to say she has something more serious going on and needs to tell her parents she is having these episodes. Also could have been some kind of anxiety attack. At any rate, if you think your old enough to be having sex then bite the bullet and put your big boy undies on and do the responsible thing and get her medical attention. That would probably start with talking to her parents about what happened.

Or could it have been her being overly dramatic...

No but her mom has had small heart attacks before. She does have pretty severe asthma, and you do not black out and start convulsing from an anxiety attack.

She's also told me that she's passed out in the shower before... Something is definately wrong.

And what makes you all so sure it wasn't a heart attack? Please give me a reason. I know she's young but if she had a heart condition it could happen right?

Also, it was sharp pains in the chest. That doesn't match with a seizure I dont think. Her body movements weren't that sporadic either, just her upper body convulsing with her chest, and the rest of her body pretty limp.

Your right, something is definately wrong and she really needs to seek medical attention. That would be the responsible thing to do.
As far as being sure its not a heart attack... 1)the symptoms (except for the chest pain) do not match symptoms related to heart attack. 2)A body doesn't just have a heart attack then get over it in a span of a half hour. 3) convulsions dont occure during a heart attack. Yes, even young people have heart attacks but in cases where young people have precluding heart conditions and wind up having a heart attack, most dont survive a heart attack. As far as the chest pain... chest pain is also a symptom in anxiety attacks and siezures with convulsions could be anything from a minor tick in the eyelid to an all over body jerk. One limb could twitch or she could be flailing like a fish out of water.

again... if you feel you are old enough and responsible enough to be having sex then you should be old enough and responsible enough to get her the medical attention she obviously needs even if that includes talking to her parents so they can help.

No, she didn't have a heart attack, heart attacks do not cause convulsions, she had a seizure most likely. As the others have said, a lot of things can cause chest pain. Yes an underlying heart problem could cause chest pain, but just because she experienced chest pain doesnt mean she has a heart problem. Many things can cause chest pain such as indigestion, anxiety and asthma.

This is not good, and the fact that its happened before suggests that there is something very wrong. Tell her to go and see a doctor and soon, if she hasnt already, even if that means telling her parents, this is not right!

It wasnt half an hour the episode was about 15 minutes long... and her parents arent exactly there for her either. That was the first time it happened for a very long time and when she told them about the shower they didn't care. Apparently if they arent there to see it like i was, then they just think she's being dramatic... so a doctor is definately going to find out before her parents do...

But the point is I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! I'm no exactly getting a lot of help with this, although I appreciate the responses. I have figured out it's not a heart attack, and probably not an asthma attack, cuz she knows what those are...

PLEASE SOMEBODY WITH MEDICAL EXPERIENCE RESPOND. I LIVE IN BUMF***, MONTANA AND IT'S NOT EASY TO GET MEDICAL ATTENTION RIGHT NOW. TELLING HER PARENTS IS NOT GOING TO HELP ANYTHING I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S WRONG FIRST!

hiya michaelcb, i dont know if this helps you at all, but im 25 now and i suffered from anxiety and anxiety attacks since i was 14! i can tell you from experience that these do cause horrible chest pains and extreme shaking from head to toe, but for me, never as serious as seizures, and i mean i used to literally shake uncontrollably!!! it did make me pass out but thats where the shaking stops, im not sure i would relate your gfs problem to anxiety, however have you given any consideration to epilepsy? im not a doctor at all so im not giving you your answers, merely pointin you in directions for possible causes...Epilepsy is a common chronic neurological disorder that is characterized by recurrent unprovoked seizures. fact is your gf DEINITELY needs to see a doctor, go along with her yourself, docs have to see you in complete confidence and cannot share your details with anyone so her parents do not have to find out!! i hope you get the answers you need xxx

Thanks Dianna I'm definately going to look into that... since she has also passed out in the shower for no apparent reason, I'm thinking some kind of seizure possibly. We are going to see a doctor though, or at least I'm going to talk to her about it today.

I do have medical experience if that helps. I have worked as a nurse for 15 years, some of those years in emergency.

Don't discount asthma. Sometimes it may manifest attacks in non familar ways. Having said that tho, an asthma attack usually does not resolve itself without at the very least an inhaler. Again, what you describe sounds like an anxiety attack or seizures. Either way, she needs to be checked by a physician and even in blinkandyoumissit Montana (ya, home sweet home) there is an emergency room or clinic. Its great that your concerned about her like this but you need to take the advice of all the responders and take her to the doctor. She could have something extremely serious brewing.
