I'm 41, I've been working out at the ymca for the past 2 months 5 days a week (before that i had been going 3-4x's a week for almost a year)Today while on the eliptical (sp?) machine like always my heart rate reached 170-177, however this time i experienced a pulsating, squeezing like pain in my neck, not in one spot of the neck but all over. I also experienced slight chest pain that didn't last very long. I was uncomfortable and had to slow my workout down because i felt i was breathing too hard. The pain went away in about 10 min after i slowed down. After wards i feel a little light headed didn't feel i could do the rest of my workout (leg machines, arm machine, sit ups) i did do a few leg machines but less weight and only about 10 min worth, (usually i do 30 min total) Is this just a fluke? or does it warrent being checked out? Thanks.
