I'm not a doctor or any type of health care official but i do know that when a person is in a state of heart attack it is probable to treat with magnesium But i would expect it would have to be intravenious as orally would be too slow to take effect I imagine this would be the case with asprin as it needs to be digested & then cause change to the viscosity of the blood. I assume your questions are hyperthetical & not actually practical.

erika! calcium & magnesium are used for muscle tone, i use them both to help eliminate muscle spasms relative to ms type symptoms, also controlmy asthma with assistance of this, even when i have a back complaint most the time i can realign it correctly through the supplimentation of either depending on which is needed.
The heart & lunds & most muscle types all need this to contract & relax, magnesium i suspect is easilier depleted from the body than calcium so i guess that magnesium is administered to gain muscle function balance. If you are thinking of using magnesium for any thing there are things you should educate yourself about so that you don't create another issue. The first thing you should do is have a kidney function test, as people with impared kidney function don't process magnesium well & you could create a toxic overload. Other than that you will be fine. if you are wanting to learn how to know about minerals i am happy to get you started on your own research.
