I am a 26 year old mother of 4. I have recently be waking up extremely hot but not sweaty, extremely loud pulse in my ear and temporal area of me head, a little short of breath, pretty weak, and pressure in my chest. I am also overweight, and have been all of my life. I just graduated from college, so have been under a lot of pressure. I don't think going to the doctor would be helpful, because I have had many EKG readings, and all I saw was sinus arrthymia. I think the doctors are just going to tell me to lose weight. What steps do you think I should take to better my current health situation and what do you think I am possibly facing here?

How long you have been experiencing these attacks of "hotness, loud pulse in your ear and head, short breath, weakness and chest pressure" and how long each attack last?
Have you ever experienced these attacks during the day or only when wake up?
Are you exposed to psychological stress these days?

Most of the time it ithe hotness and SOB and chest pressure is when I wake up. The loudness in my head and ear gets worse when I stand up after waking up usually accompanied by feeling slightly lighthead but more fatigued. I have experienced a few attacks in the day also, but mostly when I wake up. I would be dishonest if I didn't say I wasn't under some stress. If rated on a scale of 1-10, I would have to say 7.5-8.

According to your "attacks'" description, feeling under stress and normal ECG-reports you could be experiencing some anxiety disorder like panic disorder or maybe somatoform disorer. Both conditions are kind of neurotic disorders that basically origin from your personality but additional stressful events from outside can worse them. You can relax yourself. Taking some antidepressant drugs from the group of SSRI may also help you but only by prescription of some psychiatrist.
Treating the overweight can bring you a lot of benefits - both physical and mental.
