I hear my hear beat when I lay in bed, in both ears. I have to arrange the pillow to alleviate any pressure against the ear and then I don't hear the hearbeat anymore.

I live in the Pocono's - high altitude- In a recent visit to Florida, the hearbeat sound disappeared. I bought a pillow with the same cosnsistency as the pillow in the motel. When I returned home, the pillow did not make any difference. On the next trip to Florida, the hearbeat was gone. I am convinced that in my case that the problem has to do with the high altitude. I heard that this is a complaint by people living in Denver but I am not able to confirm this.

Can anyone shed light on the premise of altitude causing the problem?
