i was diagnosed with a brain anurysm and just had surgery 2 weeks ago. they had to do a crainiotomy, i wanted others to know it took 1 year to diagnos....dont give up, ask for an mri.....my vision dr. told me to go to neurologist, who then ordered mri....but my gp, told me i was nuts, also went to e.r. and refused to give mri, said you need a dr.s order....good luck

Thanks for sharing your story, healing. It's amazing that we often know our bodies better than the physicians who are trained to diagnose them. I'm an glad that you had a good experience with the crainiotomy. Are you still recovering? How is the recovery?

hi healing

I know it takes time to recover from a brain annie. My mom has one she had hers coiled. Are you feeling any different now than before your operation. I'm so glad you insisted on getting an answer.
rooted it so right we do know our bodies better than any physician, I say we know ourselves better than anyone and if you feel something is not right, fight until you get an answer.
Keep us posted with your progress and on your dad. We do have a caregivers forum which comes in handy to vent or share your stories with others going through this.

Hang in there.

coiled versus crainiotomy
they had to open up because the neck of the annie was too large for coiling....no more numbness in feet and hands, otherwise too early to tell....still sort of foggy, forgetful....hope your mom is well, does she feel better since coiling?
