Q: Healing Boxer's Fracture

Hey last week someone I know hit their hand into a brick wall and have been icing it and putting it in a splint since. There is an obvious deformity around the shaft of the fourth and fifth metacarpels. It seems that the bones have healed in an elevated cluster. There is swelling, discoloration, and there are bruises on the knuckles. There is still full functionality of the hand, yet heavy objects are unable to be lifted. Also, there was a cyst that hurt around the first metacarpel before the injury occured. This person does not have money for medical treatment, but plans on having insurance five months from now. Will a hand surgeon be able to re-brake the bones and properly align them to the point where no permanent damage has been done?

The "elevated cluster" seems to be in the same place as the haman in this picture.
