Q: headcold and pregnant

im about 20 weeks pregnant and have a TERRIBLE headcold. fever, stuffy/runny nose, headache. the WORKS!! ive been taking tylenol for the fever but was wondering if any of you have any tips on how to alleviate some of the symptoms? i work full time so all day bed rest isnt an option for me at this moment and im just terrified to take anything without at least first trying some home remedies. ive been to alot of websites but assumed you ladies that have been there--done that probally have some better solutions and advice! thanks a bunch ladies!!

I have one too. My doctor told me yesterday that any of the Tylenol brand cold remedies are safe, like Tylenol Cold & Sinus and whatnot. You can always call your doctor's office and ask just to be sure.

If you want to help your symptoms without medicine, you can try hot tea with honey and lemon, taking a hot shower, using a humidifier, saline nasal sprays, and gargling with salt water.
