headaches on the right side, i want to be able to function

I am turning 41 and for about one year I get these horrible headaches once a month in the right side of my head. It goes from behind my eye all the way to the back of my neck...I nurse it...Take Excedrin migraine...aspirin..warm rags..cold rags...want to throw up..It is getting so tiring..My kids had a four day weekend and I had this headache for two days and slept most of those two days.. My doctor acts like it is just how my monthly is affecting me..but I just want to be able to function. I am so frustrated.
