Is there anyone out there with headaches that manifests in there sinuses? Or is there anyone that gets severe headaches right before their menstral cycle? I suffer from sinus headaches and hormonal headaches, tried so many drugs and the only thing that gives me relief is Excedrin. Can anyone relate to this? Teri

Also suffers with headaches
Yes, I can relate to the headaches assoc. with menstrual cycle and sinuses. Even the weather sets them off. I hate that I have to take so many NSAIDs to keep them at bay, but I have no choice since they are so painful. I am looking at going to a doctor specializing in balloon sinuplasty (he's in Plantation, FL). My headaches stem from one whole side of my face (right side) and into my ears and temple areas. Sometimes they radiate down to my jawline and it makes me think I have a cavity, but my denist has ruled that out. My sister also suffers with this and she has seen a neurologist and has had CT scans only to find out it is her sinuses. One doctor even told her that she is one of the few who get them with atmospheric changes, like me. She is also stuck with severe migraine headache pains mostly around her eye areas. Only good thing is that we know when the weather is about to change -- maybe the Weather Channel can hire us... (not funny, I know). Today, I go see another doctor to ask for his opinion on the balloon sinuplasty. It seems like we keep running into brick walls.

Balloon Sinuplasty
Hi. I've been doing similar searches and was also told of the balloon sinuplasty option (post CT scan it used to be only traditional sinus surgery - now the balloon thing comes along).

Wish I had a firsthand story to tell you, or even a second hand. However I did stumble upon this story from USA Today:

usatoday.com/news/health/2009-07-26-sinuss urgery27_N.htm

Hope it helps. Be well.
