Q: Headaches in nose
asked by: DoctorQuestion on October 17th, 2009
I have been getting regular headaches in my nose for many months and im not sure what is going on. If I lightly push up on my nose, it slightly reduces the pain. Even if i push on my nose, the pain is still really bad, and the nose headache resides. I also get headaches in my eyes from time to time, but the nose headaches occur alot more than the eyes. I do not think its a sinus infection, since i had one years ago and it was much different from this, but anything is possible. i also think theres a chance it is wisom tooth realted, since one tooth is fully grown, and the others will grow out anytime. i do get jaw headaches, but just as the eyes, they are not regular as my nose headaches. Any idea of what the problem could be?

Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

Pain in the jaw, tooth, eye, and sinusitis can all cause pain in the nose. It can also be due to a high blood pressure. Certain migraines too present with a pain at the nose bridge. Nasal polyps, tumors of the nose, allergic rhinitis too can cause nose pain.

It is difficult to determine the cause of nose pain on net. You would need to consult an ENT specialist. Hope this helps. Take care!
