Q: Headaches after eating?

I am 18 years old, and I am a freshman at UC Berkeley. I moved in to the dorms here on campus, and at first I was loving the buffet style dining halls we get to eat in. Now, I am experiencing headaches after every meal. The headaches will often occur before I have even finished eating, causing me to lose my appetite. This only happens when I eat food on campus, but I'm not sure what it could be in the campus' food that would cause this. Is there any way of avoiding this? I have to eat on campus because this is where my meal points are to be used, but headaches three times a day is very stressful.

Speak to the cafeteria manager and ask other students if they experience the same.

Could be an allergic reaction...headache-wise. Do you get any other symptoms and how long does your headache last? Wait is it the food or the cafeteria itself?

Can you take the food outside and eat? See if it continues to happen.

If so, see if they can make an exception to your situation and reimburse you meal points. I'm unsure how that works or if it can be done.

Worth a try...
