Q: Headache from mucus ?

I am having a headache for almost a year. Within past 6 months it has become very frequent. MRI did not show any thing. I am pretty sure it is caused by mucus in my head. I feel pressure in head. It is triggered when I am exposed to a cold environment. I don't have any pressure in the facial area. But the head ache propagates to the eyebrows and nose. My PCP sent me to a neurologist. She keeps insisting that it could be migraines. Pain medication that she prescribed has not helped to alleviate the pain. I would like to know what type of doctor (specialist) that I need to see who will listen to me with open mind. Thank you.

Thanks ioka. Prescribed medicine is Butalbital/APAP/caffeine tabs. This morning I took one. Did not help at all. I have four little kids and having hard time concentrating on any thing. I have to mention that in my family, mucus related issues are very common. My mom, her brother and her sister's son are all suffering from Asthma. My nephew is the youngest victim. He suffers from Asthma since he was a baby. Now he is a teen and still suffers.
