2 days ago I got a very horrible headache on the left side behind my left eye. My eye was twitching and felt hot.. and the pain felt like it radiated to the back of my head and down my neck..I took 2 extra strength Tylenol every 4 hrs until I had exceeded the 8. The pain was so intense I was in tears. I was prescribed an anti-inflammatory. I took this and it dulled the pain to an acceptable level, however it did not go away. I still have the dull headache which feels like it is on the verge of getting worse - I also have pain in my neck on the left side and have recently found, in my neck, what feels to be a "knot" as you would find in your back.when pushing and massaging this knot it seems to be part of the source of pain, also my cheek and jaw are sore left side.As well I have an appointment to have my top wisdom teeth pulled in 2 weeks (related?) Top left gums are sore. I feel nauseous, emotional and irritable. I am also passing gas and burping? So lost. ???

Thanks for using this forum...

From the description of symptoms,it seems you have a dental infection which can spread to sinus and lead to severe headache..You can discuss with your dentist in going for a stronger antibiotic and look for any collection at the site which leads to intense headache...

take care...
