My son is 6 yrs old and plays on a football team. He played a game at 12PM and at 6PM that night he complained that when he shook his head he got a headache on his temple not to bad but a slight pain. He has never talked about this before. His sleeping patterens have not changed at all since the game. Is there cause to be concerned.

Sincerely,
A Concerned Mother

It's possible that he is tired after that much play. However, a visit to the chiropractor might fix the problem...football is a high contact sport that can throw anyone's structure out of whack and cause headaches. It doesn't even have to be a huge hit: just one in the wrong direction. Hope that helps.
