I'm a 22 year old male and I was recently in car accident about a month ago. Went to the ER and was diagnosed with a Pinched Nerve in my neck. Since then, I've been getting these weird pains inside my head. Sometimes it is dull, sometimes it is sharp. It is rarely in the same place. I'm baffled at what could be causing it. My cousin died of a Aneurysm back in December and I'm terrified that that is what the problem is. I'm considering going to the ER tonight cause of it, but I'm not sure. I'm just scared of what it might turn out to be.

Were CT or MRI of your head performed right after the accident?
What's the exact level of neck pinched nerve (at the level of which vertebra)?
Is the pain usually radiating from the neck to the forehead?
Does it commonly get worse as the day goes on and it may spread over the top of the head to the front part of the head?

NO, they did not do a ct or an mri, just xrays of the neck and shoulders. Not exactly sure what vertebra it is located at either. No, the pain doesn't radiate at al, it just comes randomly, some days it hurts, some it doesn't, i'm a computer technician so i'm sitting down a lot during the day. and no the pain doesn't get worse, it's usually stays about the same, about a 5-6 on a scale of 10

90%of the people participating in car accident experience headaches soon after that.
30% of them still have the same headache a year after the accident.
Most head-injured people will have one or more different types of headaches.

When your head is thrown forward in the accident, the disks that are between the bones of your spine can get squished. These squished disks may press on nerves in the neck, causing pinched nerves.
Another problem that can happen at the same time is stretched muscles (muscles are holding the head no to go forward in accident) leading to muscle knots.
Combination of pinched nerve and muscle tension can be a reason for a head pain at the back of the head that can go on for a long period of time, possibly for years.

Where do you usually feel the head pain?
Have you been unconscious after the injury?
