Hi
I have had countless episodes (i'd say around the 150-200 mark) of sleep paralysis for the last 3 years, but have had extreme head pain during them, not to mention ringing in ears after. afterwards i feel very lightheaded, (sometimes i do even before) and i if i stand up i get a headrush and feel as if i'm going to pass out, i also feel and hear the a sort of wind rushing through my head, i am worried about the pain, i've heard it could be related to strokes, or the muscles in my head constraining an artery. I am really worried, sometimes i feel lightheaded during the day, could this be related.
Could it even be possible that i am imagining the pain, during it, i am breathing heavily and i feel as if i have to, to stay alive.
Please can someone help, i am desperate.

Hi, I am a college student and i also experience everything that you have experienced. Sleep paralysis can be scary and oftentimes it can hurt. If you are really scared that something physically damaging might be happening I would check with your doctor, but usually in most cases sleep paralysis does not cause death or strokes or anything else that could affect you physically. But in case it is something else other than sleep paralysis i would still get checked out. Just please know that many people suffer from this disorder and although it is scary, you will be ok.

severe headache during sleep paralysis - a form of migraine
Hi, I used to experience severe head ache during episodes of sleep paralysis with enormous fear of dying. I was told my professor that this head ache is related to a form of migraine which manifests itself during sleep paralysis (my form of migraine is a classical migraine as I know when it will occur; I feel that I will have sleep paralysis on a particular night from the way I fall asleep). However it is nothing to be worried about, you just have to learn to live with it Smile Mind you, it stopped reoccurring so often after I learned that there is nothing to worry too much about Smile
