head lumps. normal growing for kids skulls?

hi i was doing my 4 year old hair when i noticed right above her left ear her skull sticks out, kind of like a lump, then i looked and the right one does too, but not as bad, i never noticed this before, and she is getting over a cold, but if it is her skull shape its very odd, it looks like big goose eggs like she hit it. quite medial and anterior to top of ear. is this normal??? i dont want to go to md if this is completely normal, what else should i look for or be concerned if i see. i know for a fact there was no head trauma. size is apx 1 1/2in by 1 1/2in on left side and 1 by 1 on right. this is my oldest so not sure if normal growing for kids skulls.
