well i am engaged to be married to an amazing guy, he smart sexy, sweet, and he cares about me! So why would i resist kissing him at times because his breath stinks so bad sometimes!

so how do i tell him, i wish there was a way i could slip him the breath be gone strip and take care of my problem, but unfortunatly he'd notice i did that too...

I dont want to hurt his feelings or have him be subconcious (sp i kno) about it i just want him to have fresher breath...

i try to give him hints like chewing gum and then kissing him, or offering him breathmints and tell him he can have more than one.

i just dont know what to do about this, anyone relate to my story and have some advice?

Has he had a recent dental checkup or cleaning?

I was in a similar situation...love my husband dearly and he always brushed & flossed his teeth but every now and then I would offer him a piece of gum or a mint and he knew that was my signal (in public) to him that his breath was unfriendly.

Come to find out he was in the beginning stages of peridontal disease so he had deep root cleaning (two separate sessions, one for the upper jaw and then the lower). He was sore for a little bit and all of his teeth were quite sensitive for a few weeks....now he goes above and beyond dental care as he never wants to go through that experience again.

Now if he has been to the denitst and his teeth are in good shape then might I suggest that he visit a doctor who specializes in the digestive tract.

see im not sure
i dont think hes been to the dentist in a while due to the fact that were both the age where we just got off of mom and dads insurance, but im thinkin you might be correct, and yeah deep root cleaning sucks, esspecially when your the patient, i used to be a dental assistant

okay. i had the same problem with my boyfriend. his breath stuck for years and I never told him cause i didn't want to hurt his feelings, so one day i just flat out told him his breath stuck and need to brush then. after that he always had a clean mouth. just be blunt with your man, if he have a problem tell him to get over it and go brush his darn teeth. gosh, thats all i ask. im the one who has to kiss you, come on lol but you want to know the strange thing i learned about him why his breath stuck so bad. he would eat garlic all the time to keep his class mates away cause he didn't want to bothered. lol when he told me i cracked up laughing and sctually pee myself. i thought to myself ya your made yourself a very bad reputation you dummy. everybody called him stuck breath behide his back in high school. lol.

a person can brush their teeth and still have bad breath.
how long have you been with this guy, b/c usually when your with someone for a while it's easy to say almost anything to him.
you have to tell him, no matter how nice you are he might be a little offended. but maybe this will make him conscious about making sure his breath is fresh.
my ex told me, so i checked myself alot.
so my advice is just say it.
