Hello, I am not an expert. But my guess is that you are experiencing what happens to some women after they give birth. During the pregnancy, the body has built up estrogen, which causes hair growth (your estrogen was built up in your fat), when the pregnancy is over (when you lost the fat that had stored the estrogen) then the excess hair falls out. I experience it after pregnancy and I hate it! This is my guess for you. Hope it helps!

me too! i just completed my 2nd round a month ago & my hair is falling out like crazy!!! I called the nurse who was supervising me and asked her? I said the exact same thing that mammabaron suggested, she said not a side effect? Well I think it is! It's exactly the same thing that happened to my hair after birth! you're not alone! But I really hope it comes back like it did after pregnancy!!

I too experienced this after my second round. Seems that it's really common. I've been off the hcg for about a month now and it's finally slowing down a lot. I've started taking vitamins. I don't know if that's helping or if it's just tapering off on it's own. On my next round i'm going to be faithful at taking my vitamins and see if that will help.

I have only done one round and started loosing tons of hair about 2 weeks after being off now, I'm back on the 2nd round and it is still coming out. I was told not to take any vitamins while on the HCG. Do you take a multi vitamin while on HCG?

I have been off the HCG for 3 months now, and just noticed in the past two weeks my hair has fallen out in globs. I have probably lost a third of my hair in these two weeks. I never experienced this with my pregnancies. I am in total shock as to how much hair is constantly falling out. Anyone have any ideas how to stop it.
