I'm 20 years old, and I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm not overweight, I eat well, and I'm relatively physically active, but there's some family history of this sort of thing. I've been on Lisinopril since November.
Around December, I started getting really bad pains in my legs and arms. The ones in my arms were sudden and disappeared quickly, but the ones in my legs were lingering. When I would stand up after a while of sitting, I would feel a pain either on the back of my calf right below my knee in the left leg (this happened several times) or in the middle of the front of my right thigh. The pain is very achy, and it feels like there is a giant rock inside my leg. The ones that appeared on my calves were always accompanied by a large, rock-hard bruise, whereas the ones on my thigh were unseen, but still firm.
Today, I started feeling a pain in my thigh again, and it has gotten gradually worse as the day has progressed. Walking is uncomfortable, and touching it makes it hurt more.
I tried WebMD, but everything was pretty vague, and there were about 25 possibilities. What is this, does this have anything to do with my blood pressure, and is it dangerous?
