My mom has severe Crohns and colitis and her recent colonoscopy results determined that her small intestine is severely diseased and will need to be removed fully. I am worried that this will just make my mom worse and that she will not be able to function, but I am hopeful that it will make her somewhat better because she has been struggling alot this past year. She had a stroke and went completely blink in her right eye and she weighs 90 pounds and cant put weight on. Has anyone had this surgery done? and if so did it provide any relief? Also, will my mom need to have the bag permanantly? Thanks everyone.
