Hi..I have been on Ovcon 35 (generic- Baliva and Zenchent) for almost 3 months now. I have had constant break-through bleeding..it's been horrible. Especially when you are wanting to be intimate with someone! It ranges from red spotting to wearing a super tampon. My doctor suggested changing the OCP..but to wait until this pack is complete. I am heavy bleeding right now..and have 2 weeks to go before my "actual" period is due..which would mean 3 weeks of bleeding!!! I don't think I want to do that nor do I think I should have to 'bleed' for that long.
So, my question is... what would happen if I stopped (cold turkey) the generic Ovcon pill today? Would the bleeding stop or get worse or continue? Obviously, I know that I would have to use protection when having sex..but I am mostly concerned about the bleeding. Would it benefit me to stop the pill?
Or...can I start the 'new' pack that the doctor called in to the pharmacy today since it's Sunday?
Please let me know...this is awful!
Thanks
