I underwent hysterectomy 5 years ago, i would like to know that given that i still have my ovaries, can i still have a child using artificial means? test tube baby or through the help of surrogation? thanks

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

Yes, you can still have the babies by removal of your eggs from the ovary, artificially fertilizing it outside and then using the surrogate uterus for the growth of the fetus.

Before the removal of the eggs, sometimes hormone injections are used which help in the maturation and extraction of the eggs. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
