I am experiencing a ton of pregnancy symptoms but haven't yet taken a home pregnancy test out of fear of it saying negative. I have been TTC (3rd child) for a year with no luck and have spent a lot of money on pregnancy tests only to find out each time that I am NOT pregnant. =( I was supposed to start my period on March 6th (yersterday) but I have been known to be late every other month or so. (Last period was Feb 6th) Here are the symptoms I have been having:
- Tender breasts, especially on the sides. Not swollen and nipples are not darker or anything
- Lower back pain
- VERY tired..going to bed earlier and feeling really sleepy at work during the day
- Acne on face, neck and chest
- Slight cramping in abdomen

Can anyone please tell me if this sounds promising or not. Every month I get so excited because I think I might be pregnant so I go out and buy a few tests and they all come out negative. Should I wait longer or do these symptoms say I am probably pregnant? I don't want to get my hopes up like they have been for the past 12 months. Any advice or similar stories would help. Thanks so much!! =)

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Your symptoms are suggestive of pregnancy. But it would be early to do the test as it determines the HCG level in urine which should be in detectable amount for the test to be positive. Also urine tests are not confirmatory as they can give false results at times.
Wait for at least a week from your expected period date.If they do not start then get a Blood HCG test done for pregnancy determination.Kindly see a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Wishing you All the Best
Take Care!
