There is no real way to be sure until you either do, or do not start you period. I myself did not get a positive pregnancy test when pregnant with my daughter until i was almost 7 weeks along. I also spotted a light pinkish or brown color for the first 7 MONTHS of my pregnancy. This is actually quite common in pregnant women, AS LONG as you don't start to see red blood (also know as "actively bleeding). Some pregnant women however, will get a little active bleeding spotting however if their placenta tears a little or ever so slightly seperates from the uterine wall, and go on to have normal pregnancy's and healthy babies. So active bleeding during pregnancy does not always mean miscarriage if it is a small amount. You ALSO have to remember that our bodies are constantly changing, and although you are not having cramps like you usually do before your period, do not mean that it isn't menses. I personally spot a pinkish brown before i start my period, so to me this sounds pretty normal. A lot of women also have break though bleeding for various reasons during their cycle and this could be what you are seeing as well. I would wait to see if you get you period, and if you haven't gotten a regular period a week after you are suppose to, take another test. If you get another negative test result and STILL do not get a period, i would go into your DOC and have them do a blood test. Blood test are slightly more accurate and often times, but not always, will show a change in your HCG hormones levels before a store bought test will. Sorry for so much info, i just wanted to cover every possibility for ya! Good luck and hope this helps!
