I am 64 years old. I am in excellent shape. I eat exceptionally healthly and do exercise daily. I have no health issues. I have been having difficulty sleeping for about three years. When I speak to my physician, he prescribes a sleeping pill. I am against taking any drugs. He said I should just try to take 2x a week. He said I need to get atleat two good nights sleep. I consented and the sleeping pill did not help. I have tried natural organic remedies. Noting seems to help. Perhaps, you can give me some advice.

are you stressed out about something that is keeping you from sleeping?
anxiety and stress can cause insomnia.

I have been troubled with this previously & agree with both of you about medication, it only treats the symptom not the cause. For me it is nutritional inbalance that caused this minerals are the culprit go to an educational site called ithyroid.com delve into each heading you find as they lead you to other pages. for me it was the balance around calcium, but there are , ithink, about 8 other minerals that you have to be aware of & their functions so you don't upset there relationship with other minerals, Or you could try a good one a day or multivitamin/mineral.
