I was rubbing my 16 month old twin sons neck today, to tickle him when I noticed a lot of enlarged lymphnodes all over his neck. i'm a cancer nurse, so this scared me. I took him to the doctor where she thinks he could have an infection. he recently got off of antibiotics 2 weeks ago. He has no signs or symptoms of infection what so ever. No fever. The lymphnodes do not seem to hurt him when I'm touching them at all. The doc told me to give him 10 days of an antibiotic and if they don't reduce in size, then come back in 10 days and we will talk about biopsy. But then tells me not to worry. But I got the feeling she didn't buy her own "infection" theory. She thought maybe he scratched his head. No CBC done to see if there could be an undetected infection or anything else for that matter. He has terribly dry skin and patches of dry skin worse in some areas then others. he isn't a good sleeper. Not eating much at all this last week. I'm not found of the group of doctors I go to. Lymphnodes starting from mid skull all the way down the cervical area of his neck and it seems like some need his shoulder blade are swollen.
Thanks
