Has anyone with DMD been cured?

from what I have read DMD is a severe recessive x-linked form of muscular dystrophy characterized by progressive degeneration of muscles, eventually leading to loss of ambulation and it is fatal.It is the most prevalent affecting approximately 4000 males. there is no cure for DMD although recent stem cell research is showing promising results. He should talk to his sons physician so that he can be told of the therapys available so far. god bless
