Q: hard to stabilize blood sugar

I work a physical job (concrete foundations). I stick to a strict hypoglycemic diet and eat at the same times daily. I eat every 2-3 hours.
Some days my job is more demanding than other days therefore I need more energy. Occasionally, while on my strict eating schedule, I get to the point where I am very hungry. I can't snap out of it until I eat a big meal, and that is just not always an option doing what I do.

Any help would be great.

I also forgot to mention that it feels on these days that I have an unquenchable thirst and I urinate frequently.

That sounds like you have some diabetic symptoms kicking in. What are you eating?

I realized last night that those are diabetic symptoms, after some research, and made a doctors appointment for friday to hopefully get to the bottom of this.
This is what I typically eat daily

breakfeast:5:00am
bowl or 2 of ezekiel cereal
7:00 handful of almonds

9:00 some celery
more almonds
stick of cheese
organic whole grain crackers

12:00 small amount of blue berries
salad consisting of lettuce, cucumbers, onions, peppers and chicken

3:00 organic peanut butter on organic 100% wheat bread

Is that it? You aren't getting any meat there.

Actually my dinner varies and it is typically based around some form of meat. I also have chicken in my salad during lunch

1. 2 bowls of Ezekiel may be a bit much in the morning. I hope it isn't the one with dried blueberries or raisins in it. You should be avoiding that. Might want to think about adding 2-3 eggs in the morning too.

2. If your bread or crackers do not say 0 whole grain on the label, DON'T EAT THEM. You should be eating Ezekiel bread instead of whole wheat.

3. Peanut butter should be avoided. Try sunbutter or almond butter instead. Peanuts are actually beans, not nuts, so they affect your sugar much differently. Also, read the label, even if it's organic there may be sugar added to it.
