Bruxing (teeth grinding) sometimes begins during pregnancy. There is considerable evidence that relates increased estrogen and progesterone levels with bruxing onset and/or worsening. This can cause jaw pain.

You might want to go to your doctor to get your estrogen and progesterone levels checked and see a dentist about having a night guard made. There are also medications mentioned in some of my other posts that can end bruxing.

If these steps fail, you can see an oral surgeon or TMJ specialist to examine your jaw. Avoid any radical treatments, such as those that require irreversible changes to your jaw and/or bite.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
