in the past few weeks i am having a hard time removing my bowels. i spend almost an hour doing it but only a very little comes out. I also experienced a bright red blood on my stool once, which happened a couple of months back, but only once.

i am an Asian and my diet is mostly asian and occasionally western fast foods.

please help me with this. is there any medication to take? i will be going to the doctor today so wish me luck. thanks.

Extremely eHealthy
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease.
So, visiting a doctor and finding the underlying problem is important.
She/he will prescribe your some laxative.

Have you lost weight unintentionally?
Do you take some medicines currently?
Are you suffering from a certain metabolic, hormonal or neurological disorder?
