Hey im 18 and i dont know if i should be taking herbal supplements for this but here is my problem. when ever i like make out with girls or fool around and have some foreplay my penis sometimes will get hard and if it does get hard when im about to have sex my dick will either be too soft and completly limp or i will have an erection and while having sex i will be limp in like 5 mins no matter which way or how i have sex ill go limp in such a short time. but when im like laying in bed trying to go to sleep and if i like move my arm or hand down by my penis to like grab it or scratch or just re-arrange stuff ill 80% of the time get a hard erection just like that. i dont know if its cuz i use to masterbate to much or what it is i maybe masterbate like twice a week at the max now. it use to be like 3 times a day about 1 month ago. but i have had this problem for almost a year now and its gotten worse. now i have been taking mood max and dopafibra like it says on the bottle for about 3 weeks now hoping it would change or help but i really havnt noticed all that much change. i havnt talked to anyone about this so can you help me with what it is i should be doing and or taking asap? thanks.

I'm not sure about the efficacy of herbal supplements for erectile dysfunction, but your age and experience can DEFINITELY have something to do with it. Believe it or not, ED is very common for men up until their mid 20's.

I suspect that casual sex may also have something to do with the disorder. A partner can guide and allow you to do what is necessary (touching yourself if totally acceptable during sex) ... and give you the time to figure out how to feel erect ... you can really learn alot. Are you in a relationship?

Right. That sounds like a good plan. You can go to a family doctor or uroloist to make sure that there is nothing mechanical or physically causing the problem. Once this possibility is ruled out, your doctor might recommend that you see a psychologist. But schedule an appointment and be sure that penis disorders are not a dagnostic possibility...and then seek help from a mental health professional.

Remember --- it's totally normal and nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm proud of you that you are willing to face it and look for a solution.

Let us know how it goes.
