Q: hard lump on outside of genitals

I have a hard lump on the outside skin of my genitals. It is very red and sore and looks like a huge pimple without a head. I have had this before (years ago on my breasts) and sometimes it does come to a head and puss and oil can be forced out with a slight squeeze. I do shave around that area as I am quite hairy and I sweat quite a bit so it feels better to keep the hair short, but obviously shaving wouldn't have caused the lumps on my breast skin. This happens not too often, less than monthly, but it is very sore. Could it just be from my excessive sweating or is it something more serious?
Thanks

It could be an absess. If so it has to be cut open immediately by a doctor. It can get worse. My sister in law and my sister both had one down there. It not nothing to mess with. The doctor will numb the area cut and drain the puss and give you antibiotics. See doctor ASAP. He will tell you for sure if thats what it is. Better safe than sorry.

It may be a boil. This is a staph infection and needs to be treated with antibiotics so you may want to go to your doctor and find out for sure what this is.
