Oh Rachel, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you'd given birth already. I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing a child, let alone two.

If you don't mind my asking, do they know what happened to Hannah? Was it the same thing that happened to little Carly?

Rachel I am so sorry, my heart is breaking for you. Hannah is such a beautiful little girl, she looks so sweet and peaceful.

No they are still unsure. They did an autopsy but it's not back yet.
They sent my placenta off to pathology and it came back showing an infection.
I did have an infection with Carly too. So they are not sure where the infections are coming from. My membranes never ruptured so it's kinda weird.
I think maybe she had a heart defect too and she just passed in my belly because her heart failed her. I stopped feeling her move and went to L&D and they confirmed that her heart had stopped. They think she had passed no more than 24 hours at the time of delivery. I got there at 1am and she was delivered at 9:58am.
But I had severe complications during the delivery and almost had to have a hysterectomy (sp?). The doctors have advised me not to have any future pregnancies due to the risk to me and the unborn child. So we are thinking along the lines of adoption. Not anytime soon but within the next 1-2 years. We are afraid to do a surrogate because we fear that our genes are causing a heart defect when combined. So we are just trying to stay positive and focus on us in our relationship right now. I know that someday we will have a child even if I can't bare it on my own.

And My Sis In Law Gave Birth At 26 Weeks And My Niece Ended Up Passing Away 5 Weeks Later It Is All Very Sad And I Am Sorry You Had To Go Through the Same Thing.. That is so sad. I cried. My friend's step-mom lost her first born too. She had a bowel movement just minutes before delivery. Madison ended up weighing 10 lbs 15oz, and had to be delivered viz c-section. Come to find out, mommy has gestational diabetes and that was just part of the reason for it. So with her second pregnancy, the doctor put her on meds to help from passing it to the baby. They had some scary moments after birth with Amelia. They couldn't get her blood sugar level to stabilize, but now she is going to be 2 yrs old on the 8th.

I'm glad you are considering adoption. I also, am sending prayers your way. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. It was hard on me losing Madison and she wasn't even mine. =/
