Last week my husband felt something "pop" behind the right side of his head followed by this sharp painful shooting pain that lasted for a few minutes. it literally made him tear his butt off & hes the type of guys who can usually handle pain. so this kind of freaked me out! recently his hands, legs & feet were starting to swell up, they would become really red & he says they are really painful & feel as if its on fire! they come & go but now its getting consistant to almost everyday. when he gets really stressed his heartbeat starts accelerating & i can literally see & hear his heart pounding out of his chest clearly! hes been also noticing his fingernails are turning white (when he presses down on it, it doesnt turn back to that normal pink color) he refuses to see a doctor which gets to me & im getting really worried! can someone please help bc i know this is serious! thanks

Swelling of the extremities with redness and pain and episodes of palpitations suggest a number of treatable possibilities. Your problem is that your husband, whose age and history we don't know, irrationally refuses to get medical help. I conclude that your husband is a dope and likes to suffer without having a reason why - and I hope that he will be sensible and go to see a physician.
