Premature ejaculation is a condition in which a man ejaculates too soon. It might be defined as ejaculation faster than the partner’s orgasm in more than half of intercourses, or as ejaculation that starts less then two minutes after an erection.

There are several possible causes that include psychological factors (depression, stress, over realistic expectations about performance) or physiological factors (neurological problems or neurotransmitter disorders).

You might want to try alternative methods like Kegel exercises or the start and stop technique in order to teach your husband to control the ejaculation. this is not such a rare condition, so if he feel that the above mentioned methods do not help him, he might want to visit a urologist to check for any neurological problems related to the pubococcygeal muscle and the ejaculation.
