Alright, heres's the backround...

- I'm 15
- I lost my v-card on the 7th of march...It is now the 23rd
- I got my period at a very early age... but i am still very irregular

scared I'm worried. I need to know if I might be pregnant, but I don't know alot about the symtoms. HELP PLZ!

I have felt painful cramps and sudden nausea. but I havn't gotten sick. How early does morning sickness happen? Does it happen to everyone?

When should I take a pregnancy test? How many should I try before going to the doctor? Is it possible to go to a clinic without parental consent?

Last, but not least...If it turns out I am pregnant, I have no intention of getting an abortion, but it's not like I can hide being pregnant forever. I don't know wat to do. I'm a very strong willed and an i-dont-care-what-you-think kind of girl. So I actually think I could handle my class mates knowledge of the pregnancy better than I could my parents. This question goes out teen parents. How do you tell your parents somthing like this? How do u talk to them about somthing like this? My parents always said they would supposrt me no matter what....but are they ready for this?

Your advice is majorly appriciated...thx for the help Smile

What does that mean? Does it mean you cannot get any healthcare services, like seeing a doctor? How do you get a new card?

Usually at about 6 weeks from the last period you had.

No, and those who do experience morning sickness have differing levels of severity.

.
When should I take a pregnancy test?

Wait a minimum of 2 weeks from the date of intercourse.

This is a good question. Many home pregnancy tests include 2 tests, so sfter 2 would be a good time to visit a doctor.

In the U.S. it is, I am not sure about Canada.

That's up to you, but I don't know why you wouldn't consider it along with adoption. Why not have choices?

Maybe reading some other threads about telling parents would help.

I hope everything works out for the best.

Since it's been more than 14 days, you can test now. If it turns out to be positive, tell your parents right away. The simplest way to do it is just come right out and say I'm pregnant. No need to sugar coat it. I know it's hard, but like you said, you can't hide it forever, and the earlier you get medical care the better.

Good Luck sweetie!!

i told mum straight out- i said "mum i have some news, im pregnant" but i did it early in the morning so that she wouldnt be able to say too much coz she wasnt quite awake, and that gave her time to let it sink in

Give it about a month before you test. You wouldn't have morning sickness yet. First time moms [usually] have a very sudden onset of severe morning sickness that comes on during the middle of the first trimester. Your crampy/nauseous feeling may be a result of ovulation, and not pregnancy.

As far as taking the tests...you should take one about a month after your last period, first thing in the morning. If that comes back positive, well...you're pregnant. If it comes back negative, wait a week, and take the second test in the box (if you still haven't gotten your monthly).

you can wait to see if your period comes, and then test[in the morning], if you get a positive you can go to the doctors right away or the next day for a blood and urine test to be done to make sure you are 100% pregnant.
Some women experience morning sickness, and some dont, some have sickness all the way through their pregnancy too.
You could just be stressed and that is giving you cramps and nausea.

I waited a few weeks before i told my family, my mom didnt say much she was upset though i knew that much, my step mom and dad had a more serious talk with me than my mother did, but i thought it was better to tell them sooner than me waddling in and breaking the silence. I knew they werent going to be thrilled, but they had every right to know about me being pregnant at 18 [19weeks&4days today!] At first, they probably arent going to be happy about it, and really disappointed, but the sooner you tell them the sooner they can adjust to the situation and will come around.

if your school knows, they will right away call your parents and tell them.
So its better you tell them than someone from school telling them instead.
The earliest you can test is 4 days before your period as well.

good luck!

thx alot everyone:)
...i did take a pregnacy test today and the result was negative...but i am just going to be prepared for false results...

...the problem is i dont know when my period is because it's so irregular, so i cant take it 4 days before or anything like that...i am going to wait and see wat happens and probably take another one in about a week:)

if it turns out i am pregnant...i will tell my parents right away, it will be easier that way...

thx for all ur help...i'll keep u updated:)

If your period is irregular, you should go off a 31 day cycle. Have you tried tracking your period? I thought mine was irregular when I was your age, but I actually just run on an EXTREMELY long cycle (about 42 days). My period lasts 7 days, and my next one comes about 35 days after it ends. Since the "normal" cycle is 28 days, women with longer cycles usually consider theirs to be "irregular".

Some research indicates that women with longer cycles can ovulate multiple times per cycle. If this is your case, you'll have to extra vigilant for your symptoms of ovulation, and base your pregnancy worries on the length of time since then, rather than the position in your cycle.

Start writing it down. I started writing down mine in a little notepad after I got off birth control. It was basically just for the heck of it when I started, but it came in handy when I got pregnant, I knew the exact date of my LMP.
