Q: hair loss

My mom had gastric bypass surgery done about 6 months ago. She is now taking nutramexit with iron calcium supplements and proteins shakes daily also vit. D but she is loosing hair and she is concerned that too much is coming out. Her doctor said that this is normal but she is concerned. Any suggestions.
