Q: Hair loss from birth control

I started taking birth control during the summer because i got too skinny and lost my periods...so i thought if i took birth control it would bring them back. They returned but I gained a lot of weight and i could tell my hair was getting thinner, so i stopped. Its been two months since i've been off it and the weight is still there and my hair got even THINNER. It sucks! Will my hair grow back and when will the weight go away???
